John E. (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the fourth child of Margaret Gordon and John Engle. He was born Aug. 26, 1854, at Tekonsha, Mich. He was married on Thanksgiving day, 1879, to Adaline Katz, at Burlington, Mich. Soon after his marriage he went to Petoskey. Mich., where he resided until the death of his wife, Feb. 11, 1912. At present he is with his daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Pangborn, in Munesing, Mich.
