Margaret M. (Sarah2, John1) was the oldest child of Sarah and William Gordon. She was born Jan. 22, 1828, in Royalton, Ohio. Her parents removed to Tekonsha, Mich., when she was eight years old.
She was married Oct. 30, 1847, to John Engle, a farmer of Tekonsha. They resided there until Mar. 2, 1879, when they removed to Petoskey, Mich., where Mrs. Engle died Sept. 16, 1883.

William W., (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) second child of Margaret Gordon and John Engle, was born Nov. 12, 1851, in Tekonsha, Mich. We have no record of his early life, and do not know whom he married, or date of marriage. He has one child, a daughter. He lives in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Sarah M. (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is a daughter of Margaret Gordon and John Engle. She was born Nov. 11, 1855, on a farm near Tekonsha, Mich. She became the wife of Charles Leonard, who was born Dec. 30, 1854. They went to Burlington, Mich., to reside.
Mr. Leonard died June 9, 1909.

Annie Augusta (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) was the sixth child of Margaret Gordon and John Engle. She was born in Tekonsha, Mich. The date of her birth was June 26, 1857. We do not know the date of her marriage to Mr. French. Five children were born to them. Mrs. French died May 18, 1895.

Olive M. (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the youngest of the children of Margaret Gordon and John Engle. She was born Oct. 2, 1871, in Tekonsha, Mich. The family moved to Petoskey, Mich., in 1879. She was married April 10, 1890, to John Rutherford Hastings. They resided in Petoskey with the exception of 1900-1902, when they resided in Mackinaw City. In 1912 they removed to Conway, Mich. Mr. Hastings is a farmer.
