Olive (Ursula3, James2, John1) is the oldest child of Ursula and Isaac Bovard. She was married to Robert Bruce Bascom, November 4, 1866. He was a soldier in the Union Army during the Civil War. He died March 10, 1907. Mr. and Mrs. Bascom were members of the M. E. church.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Van Osdol are members of the M. E. church. He is a farmer. They reside at Bascom, Ind.

Jessie Florence, (Olive4, Ursula3, James2, John1) the fourth of the children of Olive and Robert B. Bascom, was born March 9, 1873, and died October 19, 1904. She was a member of the M. E. church. One who knew her well pays this beautiful tribute to her memory: "She gave her life to the service of the Lord."

She joined the family circle March 6, 1880, at Rising Sun, Ind., and shared their joys and sorrows until October 20, 1901, when she became the bride of Albert Connor. He is a blacksmith. Their home is at East Enterprise, Ind.
