Eva J. Engle Carr

Eva J. (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the tenth of the children of Margaret Gordon and John Engle. She joined the large family circle July 18, 1865, at Tekonsha, Mich. On May 2nd, 1879, her parents removed to Petoskey, Mich. She enjoyed the privileges and shared the duties in the Engle home till Nov. 12, 1884, when she became the bride of Frank Conklin Carr, a young carpenter in Jamesville, N. Y. For a few years they resided in Jamesville. They then returned to Petoskey, Mich., where they still reside.

Bessie Evelyn, b. Feb. 10, 1890.

Frank J., b. Nov. 21, 1894.

Jessie C., b. Aug. 30, 1897, d. Sept. 28, 1898.

Edward Leon Carr

Edward L. (Eva4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the oldest of the children of Eva J. and Frank C. Carr. He was born Dec. 6, 1885. He attended school in Petoskey, Mich., until he finished the tenth grade or second year in high school. He was married June 15, 1908, to Miss Edna Piehl, of Petoskey. Mr. Carr is a farmer and resides near Petoskey.

Bessie E. Carr Winters

Bessie E., (Eva4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) daughter of Eva J. and Frank C. Carr, was born Feb. 10, 1890. She was educated in the schools of Petoskey, Mich., passing through nine grades.

On Oct. 5, 1908, she became the bride of Joseph F. Winters, of Petoskey. They reside on a farm near Petoskey.

Frank J. Carr

Frank J., (Eva4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) the second son of Eva J. and Frank C. Carr, was born Nov. 21, 1894, in Petoskey, Mich. After passing through ten grades of the Petoskey schools he entered the employ of the Adams Express Co., and is still with that company. He resides with his parents in Petoskey.
